Tell the host about your plans — event, shoot, storage, meeting, or something else.
3. Get approved
The host reviews your request and approves the booking. Nothing is instant.
4. Show up & use the space
Follow the host's rules, use the space as planned, and leave it as you found it.

Unlike instant-book platforms, every SpaceSkout booking starts as a request. This lets hosts screen who uses their space, keeps addresses private until approved, and gives renters a chance to share their plans upfront. It's simple, and it keeps everyone safer.
Fees & getting paid
Listing is free, and SpaceSkout takes no commission. You keep 100% of what you charge. When you approve a request, you and the renter confirm payment directly — most hosts collect via Zelle, Venmo, or cash before or at the start of the booking.
How does SpaceSkout make money? Hosts who want extra visibility can upgrade to an optional Premium listing ($19.99/mo) for featured placement above every free listing. That's it — no booking fees for renters, no cut from hosts.
